Supervisor: GPSS Treasurer

Essential Functions: Assist the GPSS Treasurer in managing the operations budget of GPSS.  Tasks also include administrative work related to the GPSS Finance & Budget Committee, which allocates funding to graduate departments and student organizations, and other administrative duties as assigned.  The Resources Assistant also assists in planning and executing the two annual GPSS Graduate & Professional Student Socials.

Hours and Salary: $9-11/hour – 10 hours per week

Qualifications: Must be a student for the 2009-10 academic year at the University of Washington.  Qualifications should be a healthy mix of the following, but need not be inclusive of all of them:

  • Knowledge of basic budgeting practices
  • Large event (500+ people) planning and execution experience
  • Committee Staff experience (taking and preparing minutes, meeting packets, drafting basic memos to committee members)
  • Archive and file maintenance skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organized

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work on both long-term projects and high priority short-term projects with limited supervision
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
