Social
In addition to helping to fund various events around campus, GPSS personally hosts at least three larger social events each year:
- The Fall Social, open and free to all UW graduate and professional students, with ID. This year we will be hosting an 80's Dance Party in the HUB Ballroom on Thursday, November 5th, from 5-9pm. We will be providing food, entertainment and alcohol, so make sure to bring proof of age to get in the door. If you would like to bring a non-UW student as a guest, please let us know so that we can add him/her to the guest list.
- Speed Dating! Every Winter we host a speed dating event, which is the perfect opportunity to meet that special someone, who just might be a fellow UW graduate or professional student. Check back and/or subscribe to our Social Events blog for more information. The registration always fills up quickly, so make sure to register early.
- The Spring Social, tentatively scheduled for May 14, 2010, is the perfect opportunity to end the year in celebration with some fellow graduate and professional students. Whether it's your first or last year of your program, it's no doubt that you've worked hard this year and could use a few drinks on GPSS. In addition to these events, we are involved in planning and hosting various other events, including concerts with ASUW and Happy Hours with FIUTS. Check our calendar and blog to keep up to date with all the GPSS events throughout the year.
